Frindle is the story of a clever 5th grade boy named Nick who decides he is going to invent a new word. "Frindle" now means pen. He convinces all of his classmates to do the same, and it drives his teacher CRAZY! She makes everyone go to after school detention and write hundreds of sentences as punishment! Soon the whole country is caught up in the frindle frenzy. This means war! Who will win...a fifth grader or his teacher? I really enjoyed this book. Nick was very creative, and I saw a lot of changes in the characters over time. The ending was surprising!
The book is about Native American holidays. It explains about a lot of Native American holidays. I like the book because it tells you about different Native American holidays. It tells you about 3 different tribes. It shows a picture for each page. It's also nonfiction. The pictures are very detailed and interesting. Also it tells you when the holiday happens like in the middle of May. If you don't understand the picture their is a tiny print to explain it. It also shows how they dress. Some of the pictures make me laugh. I also like the book because my dad's great grand father. The tribe name is Crow. Reviewed by Lila The book is about a boy in her class said that his brother told him about monster under our beds and Junie's parents said don't listen to him. Will she still listen to him?
