About Inventors- Search for the "history of your invention" at About.com
Enchanted Learning- Browse through a variety of inventions and check out the alphabetical, chronological, or category index. There is a wide range of inventors from Alexander Graham Bell to Levi Strauss. Categories include clothing, communication, food, fun, medicine, science, industry, transportation, and undersea.
NC Wise Owl- Go to Elementary School Zone and click on Grolier Online. Type in your invention remembering to use "quotations" if it is more than one word. Results can be found in online encyclopedias, websites and magazine articles.
Encyclopedia Brittanica- Check out this online encyclopedia accessible in school only. This website will show pictures and excerpts from encyclopedias dealing with your invention.
Fact Monster- Fact Monster gives you access to the Columbia Encyclopedia to find information regarding your invention.
Wikipedia- Type in "history of your invention" to gather information for your report.
